Know-how inherited, transmitted and reinvented
Clémence discovered gilding as a teenager, fascinated by the gilding on antique frames in her grandfather's workshop. Trained at the Beaux-Arts and then at a school specializing in heritage restoration, she chose to bring together tradition and contemporary creation.
“Gilding isn't just about applying gold. It's about understanding light, matter, and enhancing the object without betraying it.”
Her studio, nestled in the Marais district, has produced hide glue, 22-carat gold leaf, and aged wood. She restores exceptional pieces there, but also creates custom designs for luxury houses and private projects.

What is striking about Clémence is her quiet rigor and sensitivity. Each gilding is a dialogue between the gesture, the support, and the light. Whether it's a custom-made gift box, a family crest, or a decorative element, she brings the invisible to life .

Its long and meticulous process can last several days: preparation of the support, gluing, application with a brush of gold leaf so fine that it quivers at the slightest breath... And always, this quest for accuracy.
